Summary

Robin is technically broad and offers an EU data centre as an option. Robin, however, does not publish list prices; Seatti does.

Seatti fits when procurement and the works council expect a provider from the DACH region with published prices and German-speaking support, and when space analytics via IP presence and signals from existing hardware at the desk is the actual reason.

Robin fits when a globally positioned company with its focus in the USA is looking for a uniform platform, when wayfinding and access control are part of the project, or when SCIM 2.0 with documented Entra ID integration is a mandatory requirement.

What Robin offers, by its own account
Resource booking, space management, meeting management, workplace analytics, visitor management, wayfinding and access control
SCIM 2.0 for automatic provisioning and removal of users, documented also for Microsoft Entra ID, plus SAML 2.0, Google single sign-on and ADFS
A dedicated Microsoft Teams app named Robin EU, which according to the Marketplace is only available in the EU
Choice of whether data is stored in the US or the European data centre
Badges for SOC, ISO/IEC 27001, CSA STAR, GDPR and CCPA in its own Trust Center. Certifiers are not named there
Anonymous bookings can be configured according to a help article
Headquartered in Boston, according to its own press release of 13 July 2022 a Series C of 30 million US dollars with total funding of more than 59 million
Reference customers named in the same release: Toyota, Mailchimp, Fender and Peloton
Where Seatti is built differently
Published list prices per module and plan, transparent before the first conversation
Data processing and hosting in the EU as the standard, not as a selectable option
ISO 27001 with a named certifier, PROKS Certification, and data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR
Privacy tailored to German co-determination practice: no live monitoring, no geolocation, no working time recording, anonymous booking possible
Presence via IP and via existing hardware at the desk, plus an AI chat on your own office data
German-language product interface, support and documents for IT review and works council discussion
Go-live in under two weeks, no implementation costs according to the pricing page

On the question of price

A serious price comparison is not possible here because Robin does not publish list prices. Instead of estimating, we show what this means for a procurement.

No list prices are published on the pages reviewed. Provider profiles on comparison portals state prices on request.Estimates of annual costs circulating online are not substantiated by the provider. We deliberately do not reproduce them here because they are no basis for a procurement.
What a missing list price means for your procurement
A budget estimate before the first conversation is not possible, the comparison of several providers shifts into the quotation phase
At first contact, ask about the billing unit, minimum purchases, the treatment of inactive users and setup costs
Have the price commitment over the planned contract term given in writing, otherwise the comparison is void after one year
Clarify whether the price depends on the chosen data centre if the EU variant is required

Switching from Robin to Seatti

The rollout follows Seatti's standard process. Users and groups come in via Microsoft Entra ID, spaces and booking rules are taken over.

Day 1

Kick-off and installation

Clarify goals and responsibilities, set up Seatti in the Microsoft environment, define access.

Week 1

Entra sync and spaces

Take over users and groups, recreate floor plans and booking rules, document data storage in the EU, train admins.

Week 2

Onboarding and go-live

Employees are onboarded in Teams, after which Seatti runs day to day. The legacy system stays readable until the cut-off date.

Afterwards

Set up analytics

Activate Office Intelligence, capture presence and discuss the first space analysis with Real Estate.

The works council and data protection are involved early. Whether and in what form a works agreement is needed is decided by each company itself. This process is not legal advice.

Evidence from ongoing projects

Figures from the references published by Seatti. More than 100 companies use Seatti, according to its own information.

200,000+
office days since 2021 at Sartorius, a company with 14,000 employees
plus 66 %
utilisation per desk at bonprix, across more than 54,000 office days in twelve months
34 %
lower office costs at IKB Deutsche Industriebank

Who fits whom

Not every company is right for Seatti. This assessment is meant to shorten the decision, not to belittle the competitor.

Seatti is the better choice when
the organisation has its focus in the DACH region and the works council and data protection are at the table early
procurement wants to see published prices and a named certifier for ISO 27001
space analytics via IP presence and signals from existing hardware at the desk is the actual reason
German-speaking support and documents in German are needed
Robin is the better choice when
a globally positioned company with its focus in the USA wants to run a uniform platform across all regions
wayfinding and access control should come from the same platform
SCIM 2.0 with documented Entra ID integration and additionally ADFS are mandatory requirements
the choice between US and EU data centre is mandated group-wide

Frequently asked questions

Robin offers an EU data centre. Is that enough for the GDPR?

The storage location is one criterion among several. For an approval, IT and data protection additionally check the data processing agreement, possible access by a parent company outside the EU, the subprocessors and the proof of certification. Have all four points given in writing by every provider, regardless of the chosen data centre.

Why do you not provide a price comparison?

Because Robin does not publish list prices. Figures circulating on third-party sites are not confirmed by the provider. We do not set them against our own prices here because such a comparison would be neither reliable nor fair. Our prices are openly stated on the pricing page.

How important is German-speaking support really?

That depends on your buying committee. If the works council, data protection and facility management review documents in German and ask questions in German, this noticeably shortens the path to approval. In purely English-speaking group organisations, this point is secondary.

Can we take over data from Robin?

Space structure and booking rules are recreated during the rollout, historical booking data can be imported as an export. Users and groups come in via Microsoft Entra ID and do not need to be created again.
