Seatti vs desk.ly: Two German solutions, two different cuts
desk.ly is a workplace booking tool from desk.ly GmbH in Osnabrück, by its own account in use at more than 1,000 companies and hosted on AWS Frankfurt. Seatti combines Workplace Management and Office Intelligence in one platform. Both are GDPR oriented and rooted in Germany. The difference lies in how features are cut across the plans.
As of 6 October 2026. All information about desk.ly comes from publicly accessible sources listed at the end of this page. Details may change.
Summary
desk.ly has the lower published entry price. What matters is what each plan includes.
Seatti fits when automatic user management via Microsoft Entra ID, multiple sites and legal entities, and space analytics are needed from the start, not only in the top plan.
desk.ly fits when a low entry price per user counts, when a free plan for up to 15 users is enough for testing, or when the Software Made in Germany seal is required in procurement.
Comparison table
All information comes from the providers' websites, retrieved on 6 October 2026. Where a detail could not be found publicly, this is stated explicitly. It does not mean the feature is missing.

Pricing compared
Both providers bill per user. The list prices are therefore directly comparable, the feature scope per plan is not. So check which plan contains the features you need.
Worked example: 250 employees, twelve months
Disclosed assumption: 250 licensed users, list prices without discount.
250 times €1.90 times 12
250 times €2.90 times 12
250 times €1.65 times 12
250 times €2.75 times 12
Honestly assessed: in the entry plan, desk.ly is below Seatti. The comparison turns as soon as SCIM synchronisation, calendar synchronisation, heatmaps or multiple tenants are needed, because according to the plan overview these sit in desk.ly's Enterprise Plus, whose price is quoted on request. So do not compare entry prices, compare the plan that covers your list of requirements.
Switching from desk.ly to Seatti
The rollout follows Seatti's standard process. Users and groups come in via Microsoft Entra ID, spaces and booking rules are taken over from the legacy system.
Day 1
Kick-off and installation
Clarify goals and responsibilities, set up Seatti in the Microsoft environment, define access.
Week 1
Entra sync and spaces
Take over users and groups, recreate floor plans and booking rules from desk.ly, train admins.
Week 2
Onboarding and go-live
Employees are onboarded in Teams, after which Seatti runs day to day. The legacy system stays readable until the cut-off date.
Afterwards
Set up analytics
Activate Office Intelligence, capture presence and discuss the first space analysis with Real Estate.
The works council and data protection are involved early. Whether and in what form a works agreement is needed is decided by each company itself. This process is not legal advice.
Evidence from ongoing projects

Not every company is right for Seatti. This assessment is meant to shorten the decision, not to belittle the competitor.
Frequently asked questions
Often not because of the price. The difference shows when the list of requirements goes beyond booking: automatic user management via Entra ID, several legal entities, a reliable data basis for the space decision. Check both offers on the plan that covers your list, not on the entry price.
In the evidence. desk.ly names ISO 27001 under the 2022 standard; the certifier is not named on the website. Seatti names ISO 27001 with PROKS Certification as certifier as well as a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. For an IT review, the named certifier is the point that can be documented.
Floor plans, space structure and booking rules are recreated during the rollout, historical booking data can be taken over as an export. Users and groups come in via Microsoft Entra ID and do not need to be created again.
No. Seatti detects presence via the existing network infrastructure and via existing hardware at the desk. Additional sensors can be connected but are not a prerequisite. According to the pricing page, IP-based utilisation analytics is assigned to the Enterprise plan.
