Which Pult alternative fits depends on how deeply a solution is embedded in Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Microsoft Entra ID, where it is hosted and which usage data it provides for space decisions. This article assesses six solutions against these criteria: deskbird, desk.ly, Seatti, Flexopus, Yoffix and LIZ smart office.
For a compact side by side view with a short verdict, a sample calculation and a switching plan, see our comparison page Seatti vs Pult, and for an overview of seven alternatives see Seatti compared.
When is switching from Pult worthwhile, and for whom?
For companies with 250 or more employees using Microsoft 365, a reassessment of Pult may be due when new locations or entities are added, hybrid work leads to fluctuating attendance in everyday office life, the works council raises data protection questions or management asks for reliable data on actual office usage. In these cases, a pure booking solution only answers the operational question, while complex permissions, multiple rule sets and strategic space decisions demand more.
Seatti is particularly suitable as an alternative when desk sharing is already standard, several locations and entities are to be managed centrally and, in addition to operational Workspace Management, Office Intelligence is also needed. Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) with fewer than 250 employees, a single location and no need for comprehensive analysis may be well served by a simpler software solution.
Selection criteria for Pult alternatives in companies with 250 or more employees
Larger organisations have different requirements from a startup with one location and a few dozen users. Multiple entities, different rule sets, works agreements and managing space across locations call for a solution that goes beyond simple desk booking. The following review blocks help you assess vendors systematically.
Integration with Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Microsoft Entra ID
For companies using Microsoft 365, what matters is how deeply a solution is embedded in Teams and Outlook. Employee acceptance can rise when people book desks and rooms directly from the interface they already use, without switching between programmes. The depth of the Microsoft Teams integration varies considerably between desk booking solutions.
Just as decisive is the role of Microsoft Entra ID Sync: if users and groups are synchronised automatically, duplicate maintenance disappears. IT departments expect authentication to run via single sign on and access to be managed centrally.
Review questions for your evaluation: Can bookings be made directly in Teams and Outlook? On which devices and through which interface do employees book? Are groups and permissions taken over automatically from Entra ID? Or do users have to be created and maintained manually?
User interface and acceptance in everyday office life
Office software only delivers its value when employees actually use it in their daily work. A clear user interface, short booking paths and the ability to book desks, rooms and parking spaces on mobile devices are therefore decisive. The less explanation a booking needs, the more likely the solution is to be adopted by all users. This has a direct effect on data quality: only when bookings are captured completely and reliably can Real Estate and Facility Management base their decisions on them. Team collaboration also depends on whether office days can be coordinated without detours.
Review questions: How many steps does a booking take? Can people book equally on laptop, smartphone and tablet? What onboarding do users need, and what does administration need?
Hosting, certifications and data protection for the works council and IT
EU hosting, GDPR compliance and ISO 27001 certification are no longer optional extras in an enterprise environment but standard requirements. Works councils and data protection officers typically check whether data is bound to a specific purpose, whether booking data is aggregated and anonymised and whether monitoring of performance or behaviour is ruled out. Office planning needs to take governance structures and data protection into account from the outset.
Review questions: Where exactly is the data stored: in Germany, in the EU or outside Europe? Is there ISO 27001 certification? How is booking data anonymised and aggregated? Which deletion periods apply, and how is data loss prevented?
Data security, backups and data loss
Data security does not end with certification. IT also needs to know how data is processed, encrypted and backed up, and what happens to the data in the event of an outage or a change of vendor. Some vendors provide specific information on this: according to the vendors, desk.ly and Flexopus offer a data processing agreement (DPA), and Flexopus also mentions backups kept for 30 days (vendor data protection pages, as of 20 October 2026). At Seatti, data is processed under Art. 28 GDPR and encrypted with TLS 1.2 and AES 256. Ask every vendor, so that the data protection review does not fail because of missing documents.
Review questions: Is a DPA provided? How long are backups kept? How is data loss prevented in the event of an outage or a switch? Which files and formats can be exported?
Request the most important documents before the evaluation, such as the ISO 27001 certificate, the data processing agreement and a description of the data flows, so that IT and data protection can review them early.
Data on office usage: bookings alone or real occupancy?
Bookings and actual attendance are not the same. Someone who books a desk does not necessarily turn up. Larger companies need a realistic picture of occupancy at their locations in order to make space decisions on a reliable basis. Companies should use actual attendance to plan desks, not booking figures alone.
IP-based presence detects attendance automatically via the existing network infrastructure, without employees having to perform an additional check-in. This approach provides data that goes beyond pure booking statistics.
Anyone running an office makes decisions about space and operating costs every day, often without reliable usage data in practice. A booking tool only covers the operational side. Seatti brings Workspace Management and Office Intelligence together in one system that runs natively in Microsoft 365 and shows how much space a company actually needs. The decisive question is therefore less whether an office needs usage data, but how much longer space decisions will be made without it.
If you introduce zones for different ways of working alongside desk sharing, for example following the principle of Activity Based Working, you need usage data per area. At Seatti, Seatti Signals shows usage per area and desk from Intelligence Pro upwards. Space optimisation is then based on concrete data rather than estimated assumptions.
Review questions: Which data sources feed into the occupancy analysis? Is there Office Intelligence beyond booking figures? Are different sources such as network infrastructure, calendars and bookings combined? Is AI (artificial intelligence) used in the analysis, and for what exactly? Which analysis functionality belongs to which plan?
Enterprise structures, locations and governance
Companies with several entities and locations need administration that maps different booking rules, roles and reporting levels. Multi-tenant capability is decisive for larger companies that want to manage permissions and rule sets at a granular level per entity or location.
Review questions: Can you manage several locations and entities centrally? Can you define who is allowed to configure what in the system? Is there multi-tenant administration? Can your HR software (HRIS) be connected, and which interfaces are available for this?
Efficiency, administration and reporting in the digital office
Switching software is also a digitalisation project. Efficiency comes when standard tasks such as booking, resource administration and analysis run without extra effort and data does not have to be maintained in several places. Especially in projects with several locations and entities, reporting that makes occupancy, trends and savings potential comparable is what counts. For Real Estate and Facility Management, this is the basis for managing space and operating costs across all locations.
Review questions: Does occupancy per location and entity come together in one report? How much effort does it take to administer resources, roles and rules in ongoing operation? Which analyses are available without additional analysis projects?
Co-determination and works agreements
Works councils want to be involved early when it comes to presence and usage data. Typical questions concern the visibility of personal data to managers, the option of anonymous bookings and how long attendance data is stored. For works agreements, we recommend having the specific arrangements reviewed by a lawyer. This article does not replace legal advice.
Review questions: What data exactly can a manager see? Are anonymous bookings possible? How long is personal data stored? Are there safeguards against live monitoring?
Pricing model and budget: per user, per active user, per resource
The pricing models on the market are hard to compare directly: some vendors charge per user, others per active user and still others per resource (that is, per desk, room or parking space). This makes a considerable difference for budget planning and internal cost allocation. Desk sharing can reduce the number of desks needed, while software costs depend on the chosen pricing model.
Review questions: How does the vendor define an active user? Which resources are priced individually? Which add-on modules, such as visitor management or presence features, cost extra? Which implementation and operating tasks are included in the product?
Support, onboarding and contacts
Besides price, the level of support determines whether a switching project succeeds. Vendors assign support and contacts to different plans. Pult lists email, chat and phone support from Growth and a personal customer success manager in the Business plan. desk.ly offers personal customer support in Enterprise, Flexopus a key account manager, phone support and guided onboarding with admin training from Enterprise (each according to the vendor pricing page, as of 20 October 2026). Before deciding, clarify who your contact will be, how you reach them and which implementation and operating tasks your own team will take on.
The most important Pult alternatives at a glance: the software solution for your company
Anyone looking for an alternative to Pult will find many offers in the DACH region. The following selection covers six solutions for which public vendor information is available. For each vendor you will find a written assessment based on this information, along with notes on when the solution may suit companies with 250 or more employees.
Pult: starting point and assessment for larger organisations
Pult offers three products with separate prices. Pult Workplace lets you book desks, rooms and parking spaces: the Starter plan is free for up to 20 users, the Workplace Growth plan costs €2.90 and the Business plan €3.90 per active user per month, and Enterprise is available on request. According to the plan comparison, SAML SSO, SCIM and Entra ID sync are included in all plans. Presence AI (attendance detection via Wi-Fi, according to the vendor) is offered separately from €99.00 per month, and visitor management from €99 per location per month (vendor pricing page, as of 20 October 2026).
Companies with 250 or more employees may need to reassess when several locations and entities are added and requirements for governance, reporting and data increase. For smaller teams with a limited setup, or for organisations that want to rely heavily on Presence AI, Pult may continue to be a good fit.
deskbird: pricing per active user, Entra ID in all plans
deskbird offers the Business plan from €2.75 with annual billing or €3.50 with monthly billing per active user per month. Professional and Enterprise plans are priced individually. Entra ID and Teams are included in the plans, while SAML, SCIM and HRIS are add-ons without a public price. From Professional, deskbird lists an AI supported floor plan designer. According to the vendor, hosting is in Germany, with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 (vendor pricing page, as of 20 October 2026).
As a Pult alternative, deskbird may be of interest to companies with 250 or more employees that want Teams and Entra ID covered as standard. It is advisable to have the exact terms for enterprise features and add-ons confirmed individually.
desk.ly: Teams in all plans, tiered plans up to Enterprise Plus
desk.ly offers the Corporate plan from €1.65 and the Enterprise plan from €2.75 per user per month. Enterprise Plus is available on request. Teams is included in all plans, while according to the plan matrix Entra ID and Outlook are only available in Enterprise Plus. The vendor lists ISO 27001, hosting with AWS in Frankfurt and a fact sheet for the works council (vendor pricing page, as of 20 October 2026).
For mid sized and larger companies, desk.ly may be relevant when Teams integration is the priority and Entra ID is only needed from a higher plan. Check early which plan your Microsoft 365 architecture actually requires.
Seatti: all in one solution for Workspace Management and Office Intelligence in Microsoft 365
Seatti is the AI platform for the modern office: Workspace Management and Office Intelligence in one system. Seatti provides Workspace Management directly in Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Employees book and coordinate desks, meeting rooms, parking spaces and services where they already work. Microsoft Entra Sync synchronises users, groups and access automatically, without duplicate data maintenance.
Office Intelligence combines bookings, IP-based presence and existing infrastructure into a realistic picture of occupancy. This lets Seatti answer both operational and strategic questions about the office: how is space booked, who is actually on site, and how much space is really needed?
Seatti is particularly suitable for companies with 250 or more employees, several locations and enterprise structures that need Microsoft Entra Sync, an open API and roles managed at a granular level. More than 100 companies already rely on Seatti.
Prices: Workspace Management Essentials from €1.90, Pro from €2.90, Office Intelligence Essentials from €1.00, Pro from €2.00 per user per month with annual billing (View Seatti pricing). Workspace Management and Office Intelligence can be combined, and the combination comes with a bundle advantage whose price is stated in the offer.
Smaller companies without complex structures or without a need for Office Intelligence may be well served by a simpler solution.
Flexopus: resource based billing instead of user licences
Flexopus charges per resource, with unlimited users. The Starter plan costs €1.59 and the Business plan €2.99 per resource per month with annual payment, plus a €100 platform fee per year and plus VAT. The Teams app is available from Starter, SCIM from Business. According to the vendor, ISO 27001:2022 and hosting with Hetzner in Germany (vendor pricing page, as of 20 October 2026).
This model may be of interest to companies with 250 or more employees when many occasional users access a clearly defined number of desks and rooms. Price comparisons between resource based and user based billing only make sense with your own scenario calculation.
Yoffix: billing per user, Wi-Fi check-in in Enterprise
Yoffix offers the Business plan from €1.50 and the Pro plan from €2.00 per user per month. Enterprise is priced individually. The pricing page does not show whether the figures apply to annual or monthly billing. Teams is included in the Business plan, while Wi-Fi check-in and AI supported space recommendations are only available in Enterprise, and multi-tenant costs €300 per setup. According to the vendor, hosting is in Germany, with ISO 27001:2022 (vendor pricing page, as of 20 October 2026).
Yoffix may be of interest as a Pult alternative for larger companies when multi-tenant capability and Wi-Fi check-in are the focus. Open questions about billing terms should be clarified directly with the vendor.
LIZ smart office: resource based alternative with a Teams app
LIZ smart office charges per resource: Starter €1.75, Business €3.09, Premium €4.45 per resource per month with annual payment. Whether the prices are net or gross is not stated. The Teams app and SSO are included from Starter. According to the vendor, hosting is in Europe and Germany. The ISO 27001 statement should be checked directly with the vendor (vendor pricing page, as of 20 October 2026).
For scenarios with organisation wide desk sharing and clearly defined resources, LIZ smart office may be an option as a Pult alternative. Details on tax, billing and certifications are best clarified directly with the vendor.

From a Pult setup to Seatti: how the switch works in the first two weeks
Companies with 250 or more employees that want to switch from Pult to a solution with Workspace Management and Office Intelligence in Microsoft 365 usually plan the move in three phases. The following process describes what a typical switch to Seatti looks like.
Day 1: Kick-off, data export and technical foundation
On the first day, the Seatti kick-off and technical installation take place. It makes sense to involve IT, Real Estate, Office Management and the works council from the start.
Neutral checkpoint: request the data export from your current vendor early and clarify in which files it will be delivered and what it covers, so that no data is lost, for example the user list, space structure, resource lists and, where agreed with the works council, the booking history.
Week 1: Admin training and configuration of the offices
In the first week, admin training and the configuration of the offices take place; these are the central tasks of this phase. Enterprise structures with several locations, entities and rule sets are managed centrally, and roles and permissions are controlled at a granular level.
Neutral checkpoint: agree with the works council which data flows, which logging and which reporting will be configured. A works agreement should be reviewed by a lawyer.
Week 2: User onboarding and go-live
Week 2 brings user onboarding and go-live. Because employees book in Teams and Outlook, they work in their familiar environment. They book in the familiar interface of Teams and Outlook and do not have to learn an additional application. Office Intelligence shows occupancy, trends and savings potential as soon as usage data is available.
Plan communication for the go-live early and involve employees and the works council in advance, so that the rollout is accepted in everyday office life.
Proof in practice: results from customer projects
Whether a switch pays off becomes clear after go-live in three metrics: the number of office days, occupancy per desk and office costs. Three examples from customer projects show what such results can look like.
Office days, occupancy and office costs in practice
Sartorius shows how much usage can be captured at scale. The company, with 14,000 employees, has recorded more than 200,000 office days since 2021. For Real Estate and IT, individual bookings thus become a data basis from which occupancy patterns and space requirements can be read.
One level deeper, at the individual desk, the bonprix example comes in: in 12 months, more than 54,000 office days were recorded and occupancy per desk rose by 66%. If you want to introduce or expand desk sharing, providing fewer desks than there are people and letting them book as needed, occupancy per desk is the metric against which space decisions can be measured.
For many decision makers, the cost block is what counts in the end. IKB saved 34% of its office costs. If a lease is expiring or a space consolidation is coming up, this is a concrete example from practice against which you can benchmark your own expectations.
You can find more examples from customer projects in our customer stories.
Short verdict: when is Seatti the right Pult alternative, and when not?

Frequently asked questions
Seatti is designed for companies with 250 or more employees using Microsoft 365 that manage several locations and need Office Intelligence in addition to Workspace Management. Smaller companies without these requirements can manage with simpler systems.
The Seatti rollout usually takes less than two weeks: day 1 covers the kick-off and technical installation, week 1 admin training and configuration, week 2 user onboarding and go-live. Lead times for the data export from your current vendor and for alignment with the works council need to be planned separately.
Seatti is GDPR compliant, hosts and processes data in the EU and is ISO 27001 certified. Data is processed under Art. 28 GDPR and encrypted with TLS 1.2 and AES 256. Office Intelligence data is pseudonymised and aggregated, and there is no live monitoring, no geolocation and no working time recording. Anonymous booking is possible and stating the work location is optional. Seatti is designed to make co-determination easier. A legal review of works agreements is still recommended.
Seatti combines Workspace Management (desks, meeting rooms, parking spaces, services) and Office Intelligence in one system, natively in Microsoft 365. This supports both operational bookings and strategic space decisions. Office Intelligence shows occupancy, trends and savings potential and thus goes beyond pure booking statistics.
Pricing models vary between prices per user, per active user and per resource. These models are not directly comparable. A company specific scenario calculation that also takes add-on modules and implementation effort into account is advisable. The choice of pricing model affects the total cost.
